TINUBU’S VIRTUES ESPOUSED AT USA CONGRESS

The Diaspora Directorate of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council express its appreciation to the APC-USA for the invitation it extended to its Director, Prince Ade Omole to keynote its Third Annual Congress in the United States.

The successful 2-day convention (November 4th – 5th, 2022) in Newark, New Jersey would clearly go down in the history of the organisation not only as the most attended by virtue of its coincidence with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for the President of Nigeria in next year’s election but also another testament to the vast global network and support base of the APC Presidential candidate.

The more than 1,000-strong members who thronged the Crowne Plaza venue of the event from almost all of Nigeria’s ethnic nationalities and from all walks of professional endeavours in the United States seized the opportunity that the two-day event offered to articulate the reasons, based on the superlative accomplishments, some of which are quite unprecedented and record-breaking in the history of Nigeria, why Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands head and shoulders above other candidates and therefore should be elected as the next president of Nigeria.

Leaders of Tinubu/Shettima Support Groups and other participants at the convention eulogised the APC Presidential candidate, particularly for the inclusion of Diaspora Voting (DV) in the Action Plan. They now believe that Diaspora Voting is no longer a question of if but when.

At the convention, the APC-USA led by Professor Adesegun Labinjo unveiled a comprehensive strategic approach that its members would deploy to positively affect the Presidential election. This approach falls into two categories; the direct participation of its members in the election with their voter’s cards and aggressive grassroots mobilisation in their respective wards while they’re waiting for the election, and indirect participation through talking to and convincing their dependents, relatives and friends in Nigeria from their host countries to vote for the Tinubu/Shettima joint ticket.

The Director also used his invitation to the APC-USA Congress to further network and interface with leaders of hundreds of Tinubu/Shettima Support Groups across the United States who were present at the convention in order to harmonise their efforts and strategies for winning the election for the APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in February 2023 within the overall strategies of the Diaspora Directorate.

Prince Ade Omole particularly expressed his gratitude to Dr Shaffdeen Amuwo, a retired Clinical Associate Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago for his astounding leadership in coordinating the US Support Groups. His interface with Dr Amuwo has necessitated a plan for a joint virtual meeting with the Tinubu-Shettima Support Groups in the United States and the Diaspora Directorate for further harmonisation of efforts and strategies.

Prince Omole said at the convention that it’s a great irony that a serial Presidential candidate of a major political party is still struggling by paying a humongous amount of dollars to US attorneys to get him a temporary visa just to enter the United States to gain worthless attention while Tinubu and Shettima are in Nigeria conducting town hall meetings with different stakeholders in the Nigerian Project and discussing their Action Plan with the electorate.
