Ondo State Government Establish 33 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs)
Ondo State Government has taken step to increase Local Government by declaring the 33 creations of Local Government Development Areas (LCDAs). This was made after State Executive Council meeting, that was held in Akure, Ondo State Capital.
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, approved the recommended bill’s established by additional 33LCDAs, has been accepted by the State House of Assembly for Validation.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu agree to the kickoff of the 33 LCDAs. The Attorney General and Commissioner also assured that the newly created LCDAs will enjoy equal Power and Functions of the existing 18 local council areas.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftain Affairs, also by declaring the council’s support of the Olora of Ora Ajowa in Akoko North west and Onikan of Ekikan in Ilaje council area. Also the council has set up Committee on palliative.
